Sit
down and buckle yourself in for the wildest ride
of your life. The Fast and The Furious drags you
into a subculture you've probably never even heard
of much less seen before. In the lives of the illegal
street racing groups, the only thing hotter than
the stars of this movie are the cars.
Director
Rob Cohen gives us a super-charged, NOS-fueled
glimpse at the life of Brian O'Conner (Walker)
on his first undercover assignment for the LAPD.
His job: to gather evidence about some truck hijackings,
where the only clues to the culprits are tricked-out
cars and fancing driving. His target: the "King
of the Streets," Dominic Toretto (Diesel).
But Brian gets more than he bargained for once
he's locked on and locked in. Caught in the crossfire
of loyalty to his superiors (Ted Levine and Thom
Barry) and loyalty to Dom's team (Michelle Rodriguez,
Matt Schultz, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong), Brian
finds his situation further complicated when he
falls for Dom's sister (Jordana Brewster).
Keep
your eye out for cameos by both the director (Pizza
Delivery Guy) and the producer (Ferrari Guy) throughout
the movie and remember that the two female leads
didn't even have their driver's licenses when
they began filming this movie.
Explosive
chases and stunts combined with cutting edge special
effects really put the viewer inside the action.
The infectious soundtrack will find you tapping
your foot and grooving to the beat. And if you're
still not sold on how awesome your viewing experience
will be, how about the fact that there 15,000
individual sound effects in the first race alone.
Talk about surround sound!
So
hang on tight and don't blink your eyes. I guarantee
you'll enjoy this movie and have a new appreciation
for living life a quarter mile at a time.
