About the Film

What would you do in the name of love? How does a man begin to pick up the threads of a lost life? For Sean Vetter (Diesel), the answer is easy. When they took his love, they took his life. And now he's going to take it back.

A former gang member turned DEA agent, Vetter is riding high from a successful bust in Mexico. He comes home to a warm welcome from his wife and a pat on the back from his commanding officer Frost (Eastin). But with the Lucero (Silva) now locked away in prison, a new head of the drug cartel emerges, and his first act as leader is to put a hit out on Vetter. When Sean's wife, Stacy (Obradors), is caught in the crossfire and killed, Sean's world is ripped apart and he vows his own brand of street justice. With the help of his partner, Hicks (Tate), Sean works every connection he's got, even striking a deal with the incarcerated Lucero to find out what he needs to know. With appearances by Coolio's brother, Malieek Straughter (Overdose) as well as Timothy Olyphant (Hollywood Jack), Jeff Kober (Pomona Joe) and Juan Fernandez (Santos), it's anyone's guess who's calling the shots now. But Vetter won't stop, won't sleep until he's settled the score for his wife.

Another movie that was placed on hold before releasing it in theaters, the debate this time was over the name. Originally called "Diablo," the movie team found themselves slapped with a lawsuit by Blizzard Entertainment, who created the video game Diablo. Claiming that they had trademarked the title and were planning to release their own movie based on the popular game series, the courts ruled briefly in favor of Blizzard but the decision was quickly overturned.

A touching story about how deeply true love can strike the heart of a man and how the absence of that love can tear a man apart, Diesel gives a great performance as a man on the edge of reason.
