Rules Governing Feedback
For Fan Fiction and Fan Art

These are our rules for the four sections of our site where people can post messages without registering for our message board -- our Fan Fiction section, and our three Fan Art galleries (general fan art, avatars and icons, and Selena's VinWarps gallery). Because people feel they can post "anonymously," these areas tend to see a bit of abuse, and these rules aim to counter that.

First, we need to make something very clear: you are never anonymous on this site. Our administrators can track the Internet Service Provider addresses of every visitor who comes onto our pages. When you post feedback, your post includes that address, although only our administrators can see it. Be warned that, if you think you can do something in these areas that you wouldn't do under your "real" name... we can still find out who you really are. So don't make trouble unless you want twice as much coming right back at you.

People who wish to leave courteous, appropriate feedback to our authors and artists are very welcome to do so in all four of these areas. Below are the simple rules that govern each one:

Fan Fiction:

  1. Our writers put a great deal of time and effort into their stories, and feedback is the only reward they get, so if you enjoyed a story, please repay the author by taking a moment to leave her (or him) a response.

  2. Our fiction section is adult-rated, and many of our stories feature a good deal of salty language. However, we would appreciate it if your feedback posts stayed reasonably clean. This includes swearing, and references to bodily funtions. (We do not want to know what you were doing with your other hand while reading our NC-17 fiction, okay?)

  3. Constructive criticism is permitted. Flaming or insulting an author is not. Feedback posts that belittle our authors will be deleted immediately.

  4. Our stories carry detailed warnings about the content they feature. Anyone posting to complain about content that they were warned against in the headers will have their posts deleted.

  5. Comments that have absolutely nothing to do with the story in question will be deleted as well.

The Fan Art Galleries:

  1. Our artists put a great deal of time and effort into their artworks, and feedback is the only reward they get, so if you like a picture, please repay the artist by taking a moment to leave her (or him) a response. If you are going to use an icon from our Avatars and Icons gallery, please leave the artist a comment telling them that you will be using it, and where.

  2. Feedback posts laced with swearing and vulgar language will be deleted.

  3. Constructive criticism of artwork is permitted. Flaming or insulting an artist, or their work, is not. Feedback posts that belittle our artists or their works will be deleted immediately.

  4. Some of our fan art includes humorous, bizarre subject matter. Some people may not like seeing Vin depicted in ways they consider undignified. However, we have it on pretty good authority that Vin Diesel has a great sense of humor, and certainly many of these items have been around on our site for years and his reps have never complained to us. Don't bother getting offended on his behalf. If you do, we'll just delete your flames.

  5. General remarks that have nothing to do with the artworks in question (yes, we know you love Vin Diesel, but this isn't the place to tell us) will be deleted as well.

  6. Anything posted in all-caps (LIKE THIS, IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING) or that contains the idiotic word "hott" in it, will immediately be deleted.

  7. Vin Diesel is not your personal property. Anyone trying to claim he's their man and ordering other people to "back off" needs to spend their time getting psychiatric help, not browsing the web, so we'll be happy to assist your therapy by locking you out of the site the moment we see comments like that out of you.

Visitors who violate these rules on a chronic basis may be reported to their Internet Service Provider, or blocked from accessing our entire site, at our discretion.
