The Writing Room is a forum for conversation about various writing issues. This includes topics such as the use of a beta-reader, legal issues in fiction, and challenges to other writers. No stories are to be posted in the Writing Room itself.

What is acceptable:

1. Posts about issues in fanfiction, including:
    
   1. Mary Sue;
       
   2. The legal standing of fanfiction;
       
   3. Formatting conventions in fanfiction.
       
2. Posts about writing in general.
    
3. Links to articles about writing.

What is not acceptable:

1. General, non-writing related conversation -- take that to the Speakeasy.
    
2. Stories -- take them to the appropriate fanfiction forum.
    
3. Flaming.

Posts that do not belong in the Writing Room will either be moved to the appropriate forum, or deleted, at the Moderators' discretion. Repeat offenders, who continually post the wrong things to the forum, may lose their posting privileges.
